Like Rumpelstiltskin, I am creating objects of art by weaving together the ubiquitous, the quotidian, and the ephemeral. Instead of his straw.
Like the Bowerbirds, I bring together materials to be used in ways they were never intended. Everything is exactly where it needs to be. Nothing more needs to be added. In Atlantic North America, Dutch pioneer bachelors built elaborate bowers in Lower Manhattan in the hopes of attracting a female to partner in his dream.
