Portrait of the Artist as a Not so Young PERSON- explained

I began blogging in about 2004. Early on, I adopted ‘Portrait of the Artist as a Not So Young Man’ as my blog handle. It is a play on the James Joyce novel title; Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, which I have loved since my college days.

In this new project I am adapting the blog title further, by changing the word Man to Person. I want to reflect the cultural sensibilities of 2023. I am coming to realize how much my experiences as an at-home parent for more than 20 years, has given me so much Mom energy. I can relate to the idea of being nonbinary.

Of course, I expect this blog will be about art and design. But I am hoping it can be about other things as well. I canThe river is deep, and it is wide too. I can’t wait to start unpacking Bowery & Basketry, and Active Ancestry. The river is deep, and it’s wide too.
